Works Team Administrator Job Description
Are you highly organised and have a keen attention to detail? Then you could be the next Team Administrator for our Cathedral Estate team.
What you’ll be doing
Working in a vibrant team at the heart of the Diocese, you will be responsible for providing administrative support across the Cathedral Estate team, most specifically supporting the Cathedral Estate Works Manager. At the core of your duties will be providing administrative support to the Works Manager and supporting the wider Maintenance Team when required, liaising with external contractors and consultants to coordinate repair and maintenance works, and data management and reporting in preparation for audits and presentations for the Cathedral Estate team.
Additionally, you will be integral to the management of the departmental records, as you will have responsibilities surrounding the maintenance of digital and physical filing systems, expense reporting, supply ordering and organising meetings and events on behalf of the Cathedral Estate Works Manager.

What we’re looking for
You’ll love working in a person-centred role, using your keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills to ensue the efficient and smooth-running of a busy team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and will have the ability to work discreetly and with confidentiality at the centre of your practice. Also, you will be confident working within a small, close-knit team, both independently and collaboratively as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to effectively prioritise your working time, managing conflicting deadlines and workload with a calm and measured approach to your work. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the Cathedral Estate team, a friendly, professional and approachable member of the team who is a real asset to the day-to-day execution of the administrative duties required.
It is not required for the successful candidate to be a practicing Roman Catholic. The team consists of a good mix of those with a Catholic faith and those of other faiths or none.
