Tutor- A Place to Grow Carpentry, Caritas St Josephs – Hendon

St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre aims to enable people with learning disabilities to participate fully in the life of their church and community, by providing a varied programme of courses at their activities centre in Hendon, which currently has an intake of over 200 students.

We have exciting part-time opportunities for suitably experienced individuals to join the team at St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre as Tutor/Tutors.

Place to Grow Carpentry Workshop    6 hours per week, Saturday (9:30am – 3:30pm)

Based in Hendon, the post holders will:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate the course
  • Work in a ‘person-centred’ way with each student
  • Motivate and inspire students in their subject and assess their achievements and progress
  • Manage the support staff and volunteers on that course
