Trust Fundraising Officer Job Description

Are you passionate about securing vital funding for projects that make a difference in London and Hertfordshire? If you have experience in Trusts fundraising or believe your skills can be harnessed to achieve impactful results, we invite you to become our new Trusts Fundraising Officer.

Please note: we are going to interview on a rolling basis for this role, therefore we could close for applications earlier than the stated closing date if we appoint early.

What you’ll be doing

Located in our central London office, with Westminster Cathedral as your backdrop, you’ll take on a pivotal role within our dynamic Fundraising and Stewardships team. As a self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented individual, you’ll lead the administration of grant programs. This includes hands-on bid writing, relationship management, and supporting applications for smaller grant programs.

Your responsibilities will encompass day-to-day administration of trusts and foundations, responding to queries, disseminating information on grants and funding opportunities, maintaining accurate funding data, and preparing key documents.

Success in this role hinges on your ability to adapt to teamwork while also excelling independently. You’ll provide robust administrative support, sustain efficient processes, and cultivate relationships within the diocese and with key funders.

This means there’s lots to get involved in – and to be excited about.

What we’re looking for

We seek a committed team player who embodies creativity and reliability within our Fundraising team. Your strong time management skills and keen eye for detail will ensure that you deliver high-quality work within deadlines across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Your exceptional interpersonal skills will shine as you communicate with stakeholders, both internally and externally, with tact and discretion. Your ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity will be crucial to our success.

We welcome applications from those with a Catholic faith, those of other faiths, or none. What we require above all else is that you respect the values we share to help others and support decent and dignified work for all without prejudice.

In return for your hard work and commitment to us, you will receive a competitive reward package which will include, but is not limited to:

  • Access to Healthcare Cash Plan
  • Discounts scheme through Edenred-shopping, restaurants, cinema tickets gift cards and much more
  • Season Ticket Loan
