Are you passionate about creating clean and welcoming spaces? St Edmund’s Catholic Church in Millwall is seeking a dedicated Parish Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness and comfort of our presbytery and church complex.
About the Role
As Parish Cleaner, you’ll play a vital part in the life of our parish community by ensuring our facilities are spotless, safe, and inviting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning all rooms in the presbytery, including communal areas, kitchen, bathrooms, and floors
- Maintaining cleanliness in the church complex, sacristy, and porch
- Performing laundry and ironing duties
- Supporting occasional ad hoc cleaning tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is not only competent in cleaning but who also embodies our diocesan values of Competence, Reliability, Honesty, Perseverance, and Love.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning role (essential)
- Respect for diverse communities and a commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church
Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
