Parish Administrator/Secretary – St Margarets-on-Thames Parish

We are seeking to appoint a parish secretary/administrator to assist in promoting the mission of the Church by providing administrative support to the parish team of St Margaret of Scotland.

In addition to undertaking typical secretarial duties such as handling general correspondence, diary management and general administrative tasks, s/he will also be a first point of contact to parishioners and other visitors to the parish office and those involved in parish activities and catechetical programmes.

The successful applicant will ideally be a secretary or administrator with substantial experience in a busy working environment.  S/he must be a good team player with excellent communication and Microsoft office skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel.

It is important that applicants are self-motivated, organised, can multi-task and work to deadlines.  S/he must be able to work to their own initiative and deal with parish issues with complete confidentiality.

Hours of work:                        15 hours per week (9am – 12 noon, Monday – Friday, with some flexibility on start time)

Salary:                                     £12.50 per hour
