Barnet Parish is seeking a Parish Administrator to provide essential administrative and office management support to the Parish Priest and parish team. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of parish life and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Parish Communications:
- Be the first point of contact in the parish office
- Prepare weekly newsletters, mass sheets, and liturgy books
- Maintain parish databases and support parish employees
Administrative Support:
- Handle correspondence, certificates, and record-keeping
- Order supplies and maintain office equipment
- Support Finance Committee and Parish Council meetings
Event Coordination:
- Manage bookings for parish meeting rooms
- Organise paperwork for baptisms, weddings, and funerals
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is not only competent in cleaning but who also embodies our diocesan values of Competence, Reliability, Honesty, Perseverance, and Love.
- Proven experience as an Administrator or Secretary
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Discretion, empathy, and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher)
- Understanding of and commitment to the Catholic Church
Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
