The Catholic Diocese of Westminster is home to the Archbishop of Westminster, Westminster Cathedral, 214 parishes and 215 schools in seventeen Local Authorities in London north of the river, Hertfordshire and Surrey and is a registered charity of significant proportions
We are seeking to appoint a confident and dedicated Personal Assistant to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Auxiliary Bishop. Reporting directly to the Auxiliary Bishop, the post-holder will:
- Deal with all day to day correspondence, meeting minutes and telephone enquiries
- Co-ordinate specific aspects of the Auxiliary Bishops diary
- Co-ordinate the Confirmations programme for the Auxiliary Bishop
- Liaise with the Cardinal’s office where necessary
Excellent communication; experience in a relevant post; organisation and team working skills together with a commitment and desire to work for the Catholic Church are absolutely essential.
The successful applicant will ideally have worked as an Executive Assistant to a senior manager in a large, complex organisation. S/he must be a good team player with Microsoft office skills, including Word and Excel. It is important that all applicants are self-motivated, organised, can multi task and work to deadlines. S/he must be able to work to their own initiative within this role.
Hours of work: 17.5 hours per week (4-5 weekdays, negotiable upon appointment)
Salary: £19.11 per hour
