Maintenance Electrician – Westminster Cathedral Complex

The Catholic Diocese of Westminster is home to the Archbishop of Westminster, Westminster Cathedral, 214 parishes and 215 schools in seventeen Local Authorities in London north of the river, Hertfordshire and Surrey and is a registered charity of significant proportions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Electrician situated in Westminster Cathedral Complex in the heart of Victoria.

The purpose of this role is to provide general electrical maintenance to ensure that the Westminster Cathedral Complex offers a safe environment for staff and users of the buildings. The successful candidate will carry out electrical repairs, testing, inspection, fault finding of electrical equipment and be able to integrate into a small existing team. Ideally the successful candidate will be a qualified electrician, ECS certified by NICEIC or equivalent. Additionally, candidate will undertake general maintenance throughout the complex.

It is important that all applicants are self-motivated, organised, can multi task and work to deadlines.  The candidate must be able to work to their own initiative within this role.

Hours of work:                 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm with occasional overtime hours)

Salary:                                £39,500 per annum
