The Catholic Diocese of Westminster is home to the Archbishop of Westminster, Westminster Cathedral, 214 parishes and 215 schools in seventeen Local Authorities in London north of the river, Hertfordshire and Surrey and is a registered charity of significant proportions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a for a Housekeeper situated in the SPEC Retreat Centre, Pinner.   The SPEC Retreat Centre is a residential Catholic retreat centre for children and young people in the Diocese of Westminster which is based in Pinner, North London.

The Centre is dedicated to providing a space for children and young people to retreat from the busyness of daily life in order reflect on – and hopefully experience – the presence of God in their lives.

The purpose of this role is to provide and maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout the site, working in collaboration with another Housekeeper and the Operations Team. The successful candidate will have an understanding of, and sympathy with, the social and moral teachings of the Catholic Church, knowledge of and experience of working in a similar role, be an enthusiastic and flexible individual with a good sense of humour and be able to manage a busy workload, when needed. A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role is desirable.

It is important that all applicants are self-motivated, have the ability to work on their own initiative, have an eye for detail and maintain confidentiality in all matters.

Hours of work:                  25 hours per week (days and times to be agreed)

Salary:                                £14,105 per annum
