Outreach Coordinator Youth Ministry Job Description
Westminster Youth Ministry is seeking an enthusiastic and faith-driven Youth Ministry Outreach Coordinator to support the development of youth and young adult ministry across the Diocese.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in inspiring and equipping young people, volunteers and parish leaders. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver programmes, events and initiatives that foster evangelisation, discipleship and deeper engagement in the life of the Church.
You will support parishes and diocesan outreach by building strong relationships, coordinating impactful programmes, and contributing to major youth events and activities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about youth ministry, formation and community engagement.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Westminster Youth Ministry, you will:
- Support the delivery of youth ministry programmes including Resonate and the Upper Room Leadership Programme
- Assist in coordinating retreats, confirmation programmes, summits and diocesan initiatives
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of large-scale events such as FLAME, World Youth Day, and diocesan tournaments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parishes to support parish-based youth ministry
- Monitor outreach activity, maintain accurate records and report regularly on progress [
- Maintain and update the Youth Ministry website and develop engaging promotional materials
- Work collaboratively with diocesan teams and external stakeholders to deliver impactful ministry

Essential skills and experience include:
- A committed practising Catholic with a passion for youth and young adult ministry
- Experience of working with young people, young adults and/or volunteers
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage, inspire and train young adults in ministry settings
- Ability to build positive relationships with parishes and stakeholders
- Experience managing sensitive information with discretion
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and travel across the Diocese
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and their application
Desirable:
- Experience in youth ministry leadership, retreats, catechesis or training
- Project or event management experience
- Knowledge of diocesan structures and networks
