The Parish of Kensal Rise is seeking a dedicated Parish Outreach Worker to help strengthen and develop our mission in the areas of adult formation, support for marginalised people, and youth engagement.

This is a meaningful, people‑focused role where you will help our parish respond to community needs, deepen parish life, and live out our values of competence, reliability, honesty, perseverance, and love.

About the Role

As our Parish Outreach Worker, you will:

  • Coordinate parish initiatives responding to needs identified through the Synodal process.
  • Develop and organise a programme of adult faith formation within the parish.
  • Work closely with Caritas Westminster to understand and support the needs of marginalised groups locally.
  • Liaise with the Diocesan Youth Ministry Team to support and initiate youth activities in the parish.
  • Assess parish needs around youth engagement and help recruit and support volunteers.

Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Experience working in education in its broadest sense or an administrative role.
  • Good computer skills, including the ability to produce spreadsheets and simple materials (e.g., flyers).
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Diocese of Westminster.
  • Sensitivity and respect for diverse groups.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with young people.
  • Experience in a faith‑based, charitable or non‑profit organisation.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
  • Understanding of safeguarding and GDPR.
  • A desire to work for the Catholic Church and a basic understanding of its structure.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.

Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
