About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Works Team Administrator to join the Cathedral Estate team within the Diocese of Westminster. This is a part-time job share position, providing crucial administrative support to the Cathedral Works Manager and playing a key role in the coordination of maintenance and repair projects across our historic estate.

Please note the following important working arrangements:

  • The role will be worked on Wednesdays, Thursdays and/or Fridays (exact days to be agreed).

  • Due to a regular team meeting, the role requires an 8:00 AM start on working days.

  • The position is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Diocese will arrange.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the Cathedral Works Manager.

  • Assist in the scheduling and documentation of planned maintenance, minor works, and repairs.

  • Liaise with contractors and consultants, helping ensure timely delivery of services.

  • Maintain and organise departmental files and records, both digital and physical.

  • Process purchase orders, expenses, and related finance documentation.

  • Support the organisation of team meetings and wider department events.

About You

You will be someone with:

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, collaborative team.

  • Discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.

Previous experience in a similar administrative or facilities-based role is desirable but not essential.

While it is not necessary to be a practicing Catholic, all employees are expected to support the ethos and mission of the Diocese.
