About the Role

We are seeking a Parish Administrator to join our parish team in Dollis Hill. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the parish office and supporting the Parish Priest in delivering pastoral, liturgical, and community activities.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors and parishioners, manage day-to-day administration, coordinate hall bookings, and assist with parish events. This is an excellent opportunity for someone organised, personable, and committed to supporting the mission of the Church.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact in the parish office, providing a warm and professional welcome.
  • Prepare and proofread parish communications, including newsletters and mass sheets.
  • Maintain parish databases and update noticeboards and website.
  • Manage diary appointments and parish records in line with diocesan procedures.
  • Oversee hall and facility bookings, including contracts, invoicing, and payments.
  • Support the organisation of baptisms, weddings, funerals, and parish events.
  • Assist with safeguarding processes and GDPR compliance.
  • Liaise with contractors and diocesan teams as needed.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher).
  • Experienced in administration or secretarial work.
  • Committed to the mission and values of the Diocese and respectful of diverse groups.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a faith-based or charitable organisation.
  • Understanding of the Catholic Church and its structure.

Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
