Are you passionate about faith formation and catechesis? Do you have a heart for evangelisation and supporting others on their spiritual journey? We are seeking a dedicated Catechetical Coordinator to join our parish team and help nurture the spiritual life of our community.

About the Role

Working closely with the Parish Priest and pastoral team, you will coordinate and support key catechetical and sacramental programmes, including:

  • First Holy Communion and RCIA (with support for Confirmation and Baptism preparation)
  • Organising and preparing materials for sessions and liturgies
  • Supporting catechists and volunteers
  • Liaising with parents and the diocesan Agency for Evangelisation
  • Ensuring safeguarding compliance and maintaining accurate records

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is not only competent in Catechism but who also embodies our diocesan values of Competence, Reliability, Honesty, Perseverance, and Love.

  • A practicing Roman Catholic with a strong understanding of Catholic teaching
  • Experienced in catechesis or teaching, with relevant qualifications
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Skilled in communication, presentation, and volunteer coordination
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher)
  • A background in pastoral ministry and qualifications such as a BA in Theology or the Archbishop’s Certificate in Catechesis would be an advantage.

Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
